Internet Business Advantages

 I started my online business because I driven the thought are working for

someone for the rest of my life and going to a nine-to-five job that I hated

so I did something about it back in 2004 I searched on Google for

literally how to make money online I remember trying out all different types

of business models online from selling my unwanted goods online even bulk

buying things and reselling it on eBay I even did online surveys where basically

you get paid for every survey that you feel on the positive.

 I did find success in a few things that I still do to today here are five major picks of

starting an online business the first pick is location independence in the past my

wife and I have done two big trips around the wall for six months at a time

and this has basically allowed us to live the digital nomad lifestyle

compared to a traditional brick-and-mortar business you're not

tied to a physical business where you actually you have to be there you know

unless of course you've managed it and delegated every single task that no

longer requires me to actually physically be there all I really need is

my laptop an internet connection and I can just basically work from wherever

one okay the second perk of having an online business is that your business 

is running 24/7 without you being there your website is like your own personal 

salesman it sells for you with all the online technology it's possible now to take 

orders wherever and whenever you want if you have an online course or anything

 that's digital you don't need to physically mail it out with the shopping carts and 

systems that we have today customers can purchase online via PayPal or credit card 

and everything's automatically delivered to your customers for me personally 

I sell digital products and ebooks and online courses so I see this as a big advantage

I don't want to hold any inventory or stock in my house or wherever you might

be so that I can easily just send it up I don't even have to do it actually the

system and the shopping cart does it all for me okay thirdly the next advantage

of having an online business is that startup cost is minimal I like a

physical business where you potentially have to fork hundreds of thousands 

 of dollars and wait many years to see a return on investment a lot line business doesn't

cost much to startup typically all that's required is a domain name a

website which would both kind of set you back maybe 20 bucks 30 bucks you install

a platform such as WordPress and that's free and perhaps if you want to take it

further you might need an email marketing platform if to build an email

subscriber list such as Melcher and that will basically send you back $0 to start

off with I think up to 500 subscribers also so the risk is very little with an

online business okay now the fourth advantage is that

you can outsource and reach and tap into a global network of people you can hire

in my business I've got a team of eight people and some are full-time some are

on a per contract basis but the whole point is that I'm able to get talent

from overseas and pay a fraction on the costs of what I would hear in Australia

for instance I've got a full-time personal assistant from the Philippines

and you typically cost about five hundred US dollars for a full-time VA

which is what they call a virtual assistant and they basically do 40 hours

of work each week for you my assistant does the general admin the customer

support he does all the updating on the blogs and anything basically that I

don't want to do I'll pass on to him so that he can take care of it in addition

you can also hire writers designers video editors audio voiceover guys and

whoever else that can basically work a computer and communicate online all

right for the last advantage it's not really something that's physical or

tangible but it's something that you feel inside it's a sense of achievement

when you build something from scratch and something that you've gone out and

intentionally learns and educated yourself about it is so rewarding to

feel and see what you've achieved so let's say you've built your own blog and

you've branded it you put your own logo you see it there online that's a really

a sense of achievement in the 13 years that I've run my online business I can

say that I've many things but also succeeded and have done well in some other 

things sometimes a failure puts me down you know but it

might be a day or a week but I never give up and I know that I wouldn't trade

what I have what I've built going and to go back to a job or a 95 for me the

advantages outweigh anything else I value family time I value lifestyle and

I value time to do my own thing because time is such an asset you know I'm not

aiming to be the richest person or the most famous person that's not my big

why's so then I don't pursue that so whether you're currently at a job or

you've been sitting on the fence about the idea and notion of starting an

online business do consider starting some type of online business or getting

started somewhere take a course learn from people who have done it already

most of all you've got to start somewhere of course there are also

disadvantages and drawbacks of having an online business but I'll say that for

another video with all that said don't get me wrong an online business does

give the lifestyle that you want if you've reached a point where you're

able to but at the end of the day it doesn't come easy
